Barrie Police on Friday evening released a picture of a man they say is a suspect in the stabbing of a man and his dog earlier this week.
Investigators have said that around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, a man was walking his dog in the area of Dunlop and Owen Streets when an argument began with an unknown male who stabbed him and the dog.
At the time, police said the dog was treated for an injury and the victim was transported to hospital for treatment of a stab wound.
The suspect was described as black, wearing a grey-coloured hoodie, dark shorts, and running shoes.
He was last seen running south on Owen Street.
Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to contact Det. Const. Mulhall at mmulhall@barriepolice.ca.
