If you are an aspiring writer or just a general book lover, the Barrie Public Library will host Tanya Boteju as she discusses her new book, writing process, and provide a Q&A session.
‘Bruised’ is a coming-of-age story about a teen girl who navigates first love, identity, and grief when she immerses herself in the colourful, brutal, beautiful world of roller derby. Her last novel, ‘Kings, Queens, and In-Betweens’ was named an Indie Top 10 Pick of the Summer by the American Booksellers Association, a starred review on Shelf Awareness, the best Young Adult book of May by Barnes & Noble, and a best teen book of 2019 at Indigo.
