Barrie Woman Accused of Getting Behind The Wheel While Impaired

Police Came Across Running Car In Innisfil Park's Lot

A mid-day drunk driving arrest for South Simcoe Police Service.

Officers were out and about Wednesday afternoon around 1:00, when they say a vehicle was spotted, running in the parking lot of an Innisfil Beach Road park. Police say the woman in the front seat smelled of alcohol and pot, and demonstrated signs of impairment.

The 22-year-old Barrie woman was taken back to the stationhouse, where police say she took a breath test with readings well over the legal limit. The woman was charged appropriately, while her license was suspended for 90 days.
