Barrie's Community Fridge is a new mutual-aid project with the goal of reducing food waste and helping those in need. This very simple idea is making it easier than ever for people to share and receive the food they need.

So, how does it work? My Local Leaf is hosting the fridge outside their business at 9 Churchill Drive in Barrie. Donors can enter the fridge and organize their donations on the shelf (be sure to sanitize everything!), then, whoever needs food can simply enter and grab whatever they need. Oh, and don't forget to shut the fridge door nice and tight when you're done!
