The "Mirai Ningen Sentakuki" (human washing machine of the future) is scheduled to be shown off at the Osaka Kansai Expo next Spring.

The futuristic-looking machine looks like a pod that fills with water. Sensors scrub you down, and microscopic bubbles get the dirt off you.

It's meant to be very soothing as sensors monitor your vitals to ensure the temperature is perfect and you are relaxed.

The whole wash and dry process takes 15 minutes.

Science Co. , the machine's manufacturer, says they are 70 percent through development and hope to have several machines ready to bathe people at the expo next year.

However it could be a long while before we see these in distribution.
