An epic combination
Homestead Artisan Bakery and Epic North coffee roasters teamed up for a truly epic endeavor, opening a new space in the heart of downtown Barrie, right across from Meridian square.
Epic North offer up their fresh roast single origin coffees at the espresso bar – which is pulled from their shiny new Rocket Boxer. Pair that with freshly baked sourdough bread and other goodies Homestead are known for.
- 125 Dunlop St E, Barrie, ON L4M 1A6
Perfect for the conversationalist. You won’t see laptops lining the tables of Bohemia. Personal favorite is a double shot of this espresso on ice. Your lips will soon crave the rich crema.
Sanctifying the ordinary
Priding itself on putting a modern twist on old fashioned recipes – Bohemia is obsessed with preserved lemons, dark chocolate and roasted pears, scones with lemon and currants, amber marmalade and the smell of sourdough baking.
Barrie Bean Counter cafe
- 49 Dunlop St E, Barrie, ON L4M 1A2
A can’t miss spot
Serving up the popular Balzac’s Coffee, the Bean Counter is a great spot in the heart of Barrie for a daily feature, coffee on the go or a sit down bite to eat. Try the Bianca Mocha with espresso, steamed milk, lavender, vanilla, white chocolate and lemon myrtle.
Feeling sweet? Try the vanilla lavender or one of their gourmet syrups. They also have all the pastries, cookies and other goodies you would expect.
Casa Cappuccino Cafe
- 91 Dunlop St. E Barrie, Ontario L4M 1A
Casa Cappuccino has a “community” vibe going on. It’s right beside Meridian Square in downtown Barrie and a hub of activity. It’s decor is dated but the coffee hits the mark.
The Vegan Pantry bakery and cafe
- 34 Ross St Barrie, Ontario L4N 1E9
Dairy free latte?
Craving a latte but need it to be dairy free? This vegan bakery may be the spot for you. They focus on a full vegan menu for people with gluten, dairy, egg and soy sensitivities.
The Vegan Pantry has enough sweet goodness to melt your sugary soul. Their specialty drinks are changing daily and worth a shot, or two.
