Bracebridge man faces charges after vehicle was taken and damaged
The man was also charged with drug possession, driving with a suspended license and breaking probation
Bracebridge OPP responded to a reported vehicle theft on Sunday morning.
The caller was able to identify the suspect to police; claiming he had taken the vehicle without the owner’s permission and had damaged said vehicle. Officers located the suspect near Armstrong Street and made the arrest.
Further investigation concluded that the suspect was allegedly breaching their probation and driving with a suspended license. Police also placed charges for opioid possession after searching the suspect.
The 33-year-old faces six charges in total. He will appear in court on June 30th.
