Bradford man accused of writing a dozen cheques with another man’s chequebook

Twelve charges each of fraud and forgery

Charges have been laid following allegations someone took advantage of a Bradford senior’s bank account.

South Simcoe Police were contacted by a 77-year-old man on August 4, saying someone he knew stole his chequebook and had been writing a number of cheques.

Police say 26 charges have been laid against a 41-year-old Bradford man, 12 count of using a forged document, and 12 counts of fraud.
