Canada Post employees back at it after COVID concerns prompted early departure
Employees punched out early over a misunderstanding, according to a Canada Post spokesperson
A few folks at Canada Post’s Barrie distribution centre felt concerned enough to leave work early after an employee at the Morrow Road facility fell ill.

A Canada Post media spokesperson confirmed in an email to Barrie 360 a few concerned workers punched out early Wednesday. “An employee on shift had a medical issue. It was not related to COVID-19, but some employees were immediately concerned and some left,” according to the Postal spokesperson.
“We have proceeded with a precautionary cleaning of the facility to put the employees’ minds at ease and operations returned to normal.” They added.
