Canada’s largest banks have plans in place to help people weather the COVID-19 storm

Plans include payment deferral for mortgages up to six-months, and relief on other credit products

Canada’s six largest banks have announced some plans to help Canadians who are financially impacted by COVID-19.

Bank of Montreal, CIBC, National Bank of Canada, RBC Royal Bank, Scotiabank and TD Bank say they will work with personal and small business banking customers on a case-by-case basis on solutions to help through challenges including pay disruption, childcare disruption, or those facing illness from COVID-19

Supports are said to include payment deferral for mortgages up to six-months, and relief on other credit products.
