Changing of the guard as fire chief for Innisfil and Bradford West Gwillimbury takes on a new role
Fire Chief Tom Raeburn is heading to the Richmond Hill fire service
A hole to fill at the Innisfil and the Bradford West Gwillimbury fire service.
Chief Tom Raeburn has accepted a position as deputy chief with the fire department in Richmond Hill.
Innisfil and Bradford West Gillimbury began sharing a fire chief in May of this year.
Raeburn has been Innisil’s fire chief since 2018 and has been a firefighter with the town since 1995.
Thank you for your dedicated service. You will be missed but we are excited for you and wish you all the best in your new role. https://t.co/cASGy4EXMu

“He will be greatly missed,” said Innisfil Mayor Lynn Dollin, in an email to Barrie 360. “But we are happy for him and wish him well in his new role. He is not only our Chief but he has also been the Chief of BWG for the past few months as the two services explored options of shared services and finding efficiencies. Chief Raeburn, the Deputy Chief and our CAW will work on a transition plan prior to the Chief’s departure which I believe is in mid-January.”
We @BWG_Fire wish Chief Raeburn the best of luck in his new position with @RHFES . He has provided strong leadership to our whole team and helped guide us down a new path. https://t.co/SnIWLFBhj6
