Pair arrested following track from K9 unit

The OPP have laid charges following a series of violent acts in Orillia.

Two men, aged 27 and 30, both from Orillia, are facing a number of charges after police say a pair of suspects forced their way into a Coldwater Road home last Wednesday just before midnight. Police say a resident was assaulted and their vehicle stolen and driven to a business on Atherley Road.

Investigators say two suspects then held up the business with edged weapons and blunt objects before fleeing the scene. Police, including the K9 unit, were able to track down them down. Charges of possession of stolen property, armed robbery, breach of probation, and possession of a dangerous weapon were laid against both men.
