Collingwood to reopen Town Hall service desk and begin charging transit fares as of July 27

New health and safety measures put in place

A few services will be available in Collingwood again, including fare collection on its transit service.

The Town of Collingwood has announced it is reopening Town Hall counter service, with modified hours. Customer service staff will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., starting July 28. Services available at Town Hall will include property tax payments, transit passes, dog tags, and parking ticket payment. The town continues to work on ways of resuming marriage licensing.

Meanwhile, Coltrans and the Blue Mountain Link will be reinstating transit fare collection as of July 27, along with front-door boarding for all riders. In keeping with recommendations from health professionals, passengers and operators are required to wear face coverings while on the bus and in the Downtown Transit Terminal.

Coltrans will continue to operate on a Sunday schedule until further notice.
