An organization in Barrie that trains service dogs is asking for the public's help after one of its van was stolen overnight.
COPE Service Dogs on a post to social media said its GMC Savanna van was stolen from its Bradford Street location around 1:20 Thursday morning.
The organization adds that it has filed a police report and has video footage of two individuals believed to be involved.
The stolen van has an Ontario licence plate AZ 56871, and it can be identified by images of five golden retrievers wearing service dog vests on both sides of the vehicle, along with the words "Unleashing Potential." The van also has an air conditioning unit mounted on the roof and the COPE Service Dogs logo on the hood.
If the van is seen, the public is asked to contact police.
On its post, COPE Service Dogs says the van plays an important role in supporting people with disabilities and training future service dogs.
Barrie 360 has reached out to police for information.
