Cops Catch Whiff Of Booze During Innisfil Traffic Stop

A 51-year-old Man Accused of Driving With Twice The Legal Limit of Booze in his System

An Innisfil man is facing a few charges after an early-morning traffic stop.

Around 1:30 Friday morning, a South Simcoe Police officer spied a vehicle driving erratically along Yonge Street near Innisfil Beach Road. The vehicle was pulled over, and the officer says they could smell some booze coming from the driver. A 51-year-old man was taken back to the station for breath tests which police say revealed he was nearly twice the legal limit.

He was charged with Impaired and Dangerous Driving, and had his licence suspended for 90 days.
