Cops Collar Suspect After Second B&E Attempt in Innisfil

Suspect Was Known to Residents

An Innisfil man is in hot water with the law after accusations of a repeat performance Monday night.

South Simcoe Police were called out to a home on the 7th Line and 10th Sideroad of Innisfil around 6:00 Monday evening, with reports a man, possibly armed with a gun, was trying to break in. The suspect, who police say was a familiar face to the victims, wasn’t there when officers arrived.

Those officers stayed at the home until around 9:00, but were called back less than an hour later, when it’s said the same man was making a second attempt at breaking into the home.

Police kept watch, and say the suspect was found on the property around 1:30 Tuesday morning. The 27-year-old was arrested and charged with Mischief and Trespassing, while police say no weapon was found on the man.
