Covid-19 outbreak at Beeton long-term care facility claims more lives

County of Simcoe says caseloads have remained stable

Caseloads remain stable at a Beeton long-term care facility where a COVID-19 outbreak has claimed two more lives bringing the death toll among residents to nine.

The County of Simcoe says 40 residents and 28 staff have tested positive for the virus. The last positive cases were reported Oct. 17.

Starting Oct. 9, the province appointed Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre to temporarily manage Simcoe Manor on behalf of the County of Simcoe for 90 days.
