As the owners of the cattle worked to get the animals returned to the farm, OPP used the cow-wrangling afternoon to highlight a career in policing with a tongue-in-cheek post to X.
"We are always hiring...if you have a farming background, those are transferable skills that could come in handy."

"Don't have a cow, man!"
The catchphrase used by Bart Simpson on the "The Simpsons" television show would have been appropriate messaging for motorists on Highway 400 on Friday afternoon.
The first unofficial long weekend of summer was challenging for drivers on Friday afternoon who wanted to keep "mooooving" but six cows had other plans and enjoyed a field day on the highway between Aurora Road and Highway 9.

Ontario Provincial Police used ATVs and lassos to wrangle the cattle.

Police were able to get the animals off the highway.
Two of the cows were rounded up but the others made their way to a field to graze.
