Curbside pickup being made available at Orillia Public Library as of June 16

Library staff can help narrow down some literary choices for you too

The Orillia Public Library will soon be among those in the region to offer curbside pickup.

Service will begin Tuesday, June 16, and will be available Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. moving forward.

The library itself remains locked up for all but staff, but you can place material on hold through the library catalogue online. Library staff will notify you when your items are ready for pickup, and you’ll be able to schedule a time to do so. Your bagged items will be left at a safe distance for you to collect, so long as you’ve got your library card with you.

Returns can be fed through the Andrew Street book drop and will be quarantined for 72 hours before staff handle them and place them back in circulation.

The Library says there are plenty of choices, so much so, patrons may struggle to decide which books to pick; staff can help with that or any general reference or technical questions. Contact the Information Desk at (705)325-2338 or via email at info@orilliapubliclibrary.ca.
