Nottawasaga OPP say they are investigating a "sudden death occurrence" in Alliston near Victoria and Church streets.

Officers were dispatched yesterday at 12:51 p.m.

"A 38-year-old has been confirmed deceased at the scene and the investigation is ongoing and being overseen by the Criminal Investigation Branch in conjunction with the Nottawasaga Major Crime Unit," OPP stated this morning in a release.

They are asking for the public's assistance - if you have any information or video footage, including doorbell camera footage, contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

"There will be an increase in police presence within the area for the foreseeable future, please avoid the area as the investigation continues," OPP added. "Updates will be provided as necessary."
