Delivery truck strikes flower shop in downtown Penetanguishene

A business and two apartments have been evacuated

A business and two apartments were evacuated Thursday morning after a delivery truck rolled into Arbour’s Flower Shoppe in Penetanguishene, at Main and Robert Streets.

Southern Georgian Bay OPP and Penetanguishene Fire Department responded to a report of a collision around 9:45 a.m. Police say the truck rolled from a convenience store parking lot across the street, where it struck a vehicle at the intersection and then the building, causing major damage. No injuries were reported.

The business on the ground level and the two apartments above were evacuated for the safety of the occupants.

Police are trying to determine the cause of the collision. No charges have been laid.
