Dog killed during altercation as OPP responded to a disturbance at a Bracebridge motel
Police say two dogs attacked officers
One of two dogs that OPP say attacked officers were killed when police responded to a report of a disturbance and mischief at a Bracebridge motel.
Police were called to the motel on Manitoba Street around 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
They say when an attempt was made to arrest a man, he resisted.
During the altercation, two large dogs attacked the officers. Police say a taser was successfully used on one of the dogs, while the other was tasered multiple times and eventually was killed due to concerns for officer safety.
A 40-year old from Brockton was charged with mischief and causing a disturbance.
He is to appear in court in Bracebridge on Mar. 8, 2022.
