Two men were arrested in the area of Dunlop and Mary Streets on Tuesday afternoon when police say an officer noted the pair had allegedly just finished smoking illicit drugs.

No additional drugs were located, according to police, but one male was found to have two knives, one of which was prohibited. He was transported to police headquarters for further investigation, while the other male was released unconditionally.

A 39-year-old was charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon and fail to comply with a release order.

He was held for a bail hearing that is to take place on Wednesday.
