Three people have been charged with weapon and drug-related offences after Orillia OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 12 in Ramara Township.

Last Thursday afternoon, police say an officer conducting traffic enforcement was alerted by the Automated Licence Plate Reader in their cruiser about an infraction regarding an Ontario licence plate.

The officer discovered the driver of the vehicle had outstanding warrants from another province, and that person was arrested.
