A pair of ditched vehicles have the motorists involved facing imapired driving charges.
Around 8 p.m. Sunday, South Simcoe Police officers were called to the 9th Line and Ralph Street in Innisfil with reports a vehicle had gone into the ditch. Officers arrived on scene and took the driver into custody. The 40-year-old Innisfil man was charged with impaired and dangerous driving after breath tests back at the station.
Less than 24 hours later, police got the call of a vehicle in the ditch at 5th Sideroad and Innisfil Beach Road. The vehicle was on its passenger side when police arrived, while the driver was standing outside his vehicle, unhurt in the crash. Police say he failed a roadside screening test and was arrested. Further testing at the station led to charges laid against a 32-year-old Barrie man.
