Elderly Man Remains In Hospital Following Wednesday Crash

Police Investigation Continues

Barrie Police say an elderly man struck on Ross St. in Barrie remains in hospital with serious, yet non-life threatening injuries.

The police investigation continues into the crash, but police are able to say the 91-year-old man was crossing Ross St. on his mobility scooter several meters away from the crosswalk at Bayfield Street. The scooter was outfitted with a highly-visible reflective vest.

Ross St. was closed from Bayfield to Maple For Several Hours Wednesday Afternoon

The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators.
