Emergency services campus in Barrie on-time and under-budget

Police expected to move in come January

Construction of the emergency services campus on Fairview Road in Barrie is on track for completion in mid-December, with Barrie Police scheduled to move into the complex in mid-January.

Barrie City Council was told Monday night that construction costs are slightly less than had been budgeted for and should make up for potential cost overruns related to equipment required inside the building.

The campus will serve as the new Barrie Police headquarters and house some Barrie Fire and Simcoe County Paramedic Services.
