Update (Monday, April 21):
Nottawasaga OPP say a house fire in the Township of Essa last week resulted in the death of one person.
Fire officials initially said one person was unaccounted for after the 9th Line blaze on Tuesday, April 15.
"Sadly, one individual was located deceased," police stated in a release today.
"At this time, the fire has been deemed non-suspicious, and no foul play is suspected in the death of the individual."
Officials, including the Ontario Fire Marshal, continue to investigate.

One person was unaccounted for after a house fire in Essa Township that officials have deemed "suspicious."
Deputy Fire Chief Gary McNamara told Barrie 360 that the call to the blaze on the 9th Line came in just after three on Tuesday afternoon.
He could not disclose if anyone else was home at the time of the fire, except to confirm that one person was uaccounted for.
The fire killed two cats, but a rabbit survived, according to McNamara.
The Ontario Fire Marshal is investigating.
