Anyone who to sold their home in Simcoe County last month made 3.5 per cent more than they would have in January.
In the region, 466 residential units were sold in the month of February which is 77.2 per cent more sales than the month prior. This growth comes hand-in-hand with the average housing prices increasing to $535,490.
Since this time last year, Simcoe County has seen a 4.6 per cent increase in its average price between the months of January and February. Barrie alone was responsible for 230 sales with an increase of 78.3 per cent since the month prior.
Over the past year, the county has seen a seven per cent increase in housing prices and a 43.3 per cent increase in the amount of residences sold. In the same time frame Barrie had a large growth in the amount of units sold with a 70.3 per cent increase.
