Festive RIDE Numbers In Simcoe County
OPP rounded up some impaired drivers, suspended and disqualified drivers
OPP have been compiling a naughty list, releasing numbers after three days of Festive RIDE checks in Simcoe County.
More than 5,500 vehicles were stopped.
- 137 roadside tests conducted
- 5 over 80 charges
- 2 impaired charges
- 13 – 3-day license suspensions
- 30 traffic tickets
- 7 Cannabis Act Charges
- 1 suspended driver
- 2 disqualified drivers charged
In 2018, 56 people were killed in alcohol- or drug-related collisions on OPP-patrolled roads.
