Festive RIDE Snags Another One
Pair Charged at Spot Check As Police Seize Cocaine
A local pair have been charged after a bust at an Innisfil area spot check.
South Simcoe Police say they had just set up a large RIDE operation at the 9th Line and 20th Sideroad around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, when a vehicle approached. An officer says he spied a quantity of drugs in the back seat, so the female driver and male passenger were taken into custody.
A 23-year-old Innisfil woman is facing Trafficking charges, along with failing to have insurance info, driver’s licence or plate info, and for not wearing a seatbelt. The 21-year-old Barrie man in the passenger seat also charged with Trafficking and not wearing a seatbelt.
