No injuries following fire at Barrie home

Barrie fire crews knocked down flames at a single-family home on Wednesday morning.

A fire department spokesperson says crews were called to the residence at 360 Yonge Street near Little Avenue around 9:45 a.m. and had the blaze under control in under an hour.

The lone occupant was able to get out of the home safely, but a cat is unaccounted for.

The cause of the fire and an estimate of damage has not been determined.
