Fire Code Violations Cost Huntsville Property Owner Ten Grand

Owner Pleads Guilty Following Fire Service Inspection

A property owner in Huntsville is on the hook for a $10,000 fine after pleading guilty to violating fire code.

A complaint brought about the inspection of a Huntsville manufacturing facility by the Huntsville Fire Service back in June of 2017, while a few violations were discovered.

Fire Prevention Officer Mike Vadlja says “It is preferred that violations are promptly addressed without the need to go to court, although it is sometimes necessary in order to initiate the actions that are required.”

The owner was given 90 days to bring everything up to code, but pleaded guilty to failing at that task. The fire service is still working with the owner, to make sure everything is up to snuff.
