Fire on Saturday destroyed a boat in Orillia
Fire chief praises the quick action of marina staff
Two people were able to get off a boat that caught fire at Bridge Port Marina in Orillia
Fire Chief Brent Thomas said the fire started after the boat had refuelled Saturday afternoon.

Staff at the marina used extinguishers but quickly realized the fire was spreading and Thomas said they pushed the vessel away from the dock and shut off the fuel pumps.
Fire crews were able to douse the flames and made sure no gas from the boat entered the water.
There were no injuries.
