First Cannabis Act Charges Laid In Barrie
Teens tagged with fines
Barrie Police have handed out their first two tickets for Cannabis use violations under the new Cannabis Act.
Two teens have been charged with consuming the drug under the age of 19.
Each faces a set fine of $100.
Barrie Police have also seized two bags of cannabis edibles they say were purchased illegally (not from the Ontario Cannabis Store).
These edibles were seized last week by @BarriePolice and may look like they are leftover treats from Halloween, but there is nothing “treat like” about them. They contain cannabis and are illegal to possess as they were not purchased through the @ONCannabisStore pic.twitter.com/9AZPu2ouRm
