First storm of the season rumbles through Barrie
Brought with it a Tornado Watch
Menacing-looking clouds, thunder and rain – heavy rain – trundled through the Barrie-area Sunday afternoon and evening.
The first Tornado Watch of the season came with it.
And while a twister never formed, there were pockets of flooding that forced the closure of a portion of Dunlop Street near the former Central Collegiate – an area prone to flooding – and waters that rushed through Sunnidale Park.
