Flames confined to bedroom in Barrie house fire on Saturday

Fire department said the closed bedroom door kept the fire confined to where it started

Damage is pegged at $50,000 in a Saturday morning house fire on Noam Drive in Barrie, in the area of Cundles Road West and Kozlov Street.

A fire department spokesperson said the fire originated in a bedroom and a closed door prevented the flames from spreading.

Cause of the fire is electrical.

There were no injuries.
