Former Barrie MP/MPP And Tory Leader Patrick Brown Starts To Hit Back

Releases biography of his political trials and tribulations

Former Ontario Conservative leader and Barrie/Simcoe County politician Patrick Brown has pulled no punches in a tell-all biography about his rise and fall.

In Takedown: The Attempted Political Assassination of Patrick Brown, Brown points fingers at a number of Tory caucus members – including some among his inner circle – he says stabbed him in the back.

There are also allegations of sexual misconduct against a senior cabinet minister who was instrumental in Brown’s demise as party leader.

Brown also says a private investigator he hired in the days after his resignation, to look into who was behind his ouster, found that Brown himself had been under surveillance by a lawyer with ties to the Tories, though he’s not clear of the reason why.

Brown, who will be in Barrie Saturday for the local launch of his book, was recently elected mayor of Brampton.
