Former Innisfil Fire Chief named Ontario Fire Marshal
Jon Pegg had two tours of duty in Innisfil
Former Innisfil Fire Chief Jon Pegg has been named Ontario’s new Fire Marshal. He takes over the post from Ross Nichols.
Pegg began his firefighting career in 2000 in Richmond Hill. He was Deputy Chief in Innisfil for 16 months beginning in 2011 before moving on to the Town of Georgina in the same capacity. He returned to Innisfil as Chief in 2014. A post he held until last year. He has served as Chief of Emergency Management for Ontario for the past eight months.
During his stint as Deputy Chief in Innisfil, Pegg helped develop a fire master plan for the town.
