A 20-year-old G2 driver was charged with stunt driving after their vehicle was clocked travelling 118 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone in Angus, an "astonishing" 58 km/h over the posted speed limit, according to a Facebook post by Central Region OPP.

The vehicle was pulled on Mill Street on Sunday morning.

In addition to the stunt driving charge, police say the vehicle was impounded, and the driver's licence of the motorist was suspended.

"Speeding puts lives at risk, including yours. Let's all do our part to keep our roads safe," police added on Facebook.
