This Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22, Barrie line rail service will be temporarily suspended to accommodate critical track work that will bring faster, more frequent GO train service across the network.

During this time, GO Buses will replace train service only between Highway 407 Bus Terminal and Allandale Waterfront GO station. Customers intending to travel to Union Station are encouraged to use the TTC located near Highway 407 Bus Terminal or Downsview Park GO.

  • GO Bus Route 68F will serve Allandale Waterfront GO, Barrie South GO, Barrie Bus Terminal, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
  • GO Bus Route 68G will serve Barrie Bus Terminal, Allandale Waterfront GO, Barrie South GO, Bradford GO, East Gwillimbury GO, Newmarket GO, Aurora GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
  • GO Bus route 65H will serve Wellington Street East at Highway 404 Park and Ride, Aurora GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
  • GO Bus route 65G will serve Aurora GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
  • GO Bus route 65J will serve East Gwillimbury GO, Newmarket GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
  • GO Bus route 68H will serve Bradford GO, East Gwillimbury GO, Newmarket GO, Aurora GO, Wellington Street East at Highway 404 Park and Ride and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.

GO Bus connection times will be adjusted and there may be longer than usual wait times. Customers are encouraged to check schedules before travelling.

Northbound and southbound rail trips will travel slower on the Barrie line on Monday, September 23 and Tuesday, September 24, as a result of this construction work. Some trip times will be adjusted - please check gotransit.com for updated schedules before travelling.

In addition, there will be no GO Train service at King City GO on Monday, September 23 due to critical rail and platform construction. For customers travelling to or from King City GO station, please connect with local transit at Aurora GO or Rutherford GO.

Regular service will resume on Wednesday, September 25. For more information about the Barrie line service adjustments, click HERE.

Riders can transfer for free with One Fare between GO Transit and TTC. Customers are encouraged to use gotransit.com or triplinx.ca to plan their trips. You can also check the GO Transit Service Updates page for real-time details.
