Guide To Farmer’s Markets In Simcoe County

Local Tastes Better

Nothing beats the fresh taste of something made close to home. If you love shopping local and supporting your community, here is a guide to Simcoe County’s Farmer’s Markets.

Barrie

The Barrie Farmer’s Market is full of fresh and delicious food and drinks all year round. From May to October, it’s outside and from November to April, it moves inside. The only problem people seem to have is that it’s only one day a week!

Every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Barrie City Hall

Innisfil

Along with all the fresh products, The Innisfil Farmer’s Market has some extra surprises in store in December like visits from Santa who will be handing out candy canes from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, free kid’s crafts from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, live music at 4:00 PM, and local artisan booths to help you fill out under the tree. Don’t forget to bring a donation for the local food bank too!

Every Thursday (June to December) from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Innisfil Recreation Complex

Orillia

The Orillia Farmer’s Market has been around since 1842 so you know it has to be good. It moved from the waterfront to the heart of Downtown Orillia in 1872 and has been bursting with tasty local products ever since. There is even a Market Cafe where you can listen to some local musicians.

Every Saturday from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Orillia Public Library

Creemore

The Winter Market has kicked off at The Creemore Farmer’s Market. There is tons of produce, ready to eat, and crafts for sale along with samosas, hot breakfast, and the best coffee in the area provided by the Legion.

Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (check dates here)

Collingwood

The Collingwood Farmer’s Market is serious about supporting local farmers with its 100-mile market (only produce from within 100 miles of the market). They have over 70 vendors and special events like childrens activities and live music too.

Every Saturday (May to October) from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Second and Pine Street municipal parking lot

Bradford

From your coffee with breakfast to your post-dinner wine, The Bradford Farmer’s Market has you covered with their selection of local vendors. They have lots of local artists showcasing their musical talents most weekends as well.

Every Saturday (May to December, with more dates to be announced) from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library

Wasaga Beach

The Wasaga Beach Farmer’s Market has been bringing together local farmers, crafters, and artists since 2015 and they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Although it only takes place in the Summer, this one takes place later in the day so if you’re not a morning person, this is the one for you.

Every Tuesday (June to September) from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rexplex
