
March Break is just around the corner and while it gives students a much-needed respite, it almost certainly means more work for parents. Luckily, Simcoe County has tons of day camps available all week long to make sure your little ones have plenty of fun during their week holiday.
MacLaren Arts Centre
Get those creative juices flowing at MacLaren Arts Centre's EXPLORE Winter! March Break Camp. Kids 6 to 11 will explore the beauty of our surrounding landscapes using a variety of materials found in nature and learn about the gallery's current exhibits. This camp takes place from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday to Friday and costs $275 ($250 for members) for the week with options for additional before and aftercare.
Barrie Kempettes Gymnastics Club
Barrie Kempettes Gymnastics Club is making it easy for your kids to stay active over March Break with their day camps. Days will be filled with crafts, games, and of course, gymnastics! This years daily theme's include Crazy About Crafts, All About Me Day, Greed Day, PJ Day, and Mad About Movies.
This camp is for kids ages 4 and up and is $55/day with options for before and after care.
Talk Is Free Theatre
To be at camp? Or not to be at camp? That is the question.
Actually, it's not a question at all, of course, you should be at Talk Is Free Theatre's Camp! This week-long camp will teach kids improvisation, character building, and scene study with fun activities.
The camp costs $190 and runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with additional before and after care options.
Simcoe County Museum
Simcoe County Museum is undergoing renovations throughout March 2025. As a result, the museum is closed to the public and they will not be hosting their usual March Break programs.
Snow Valley Ski Resort
Whether they already love the slopes or haven't been on a hill a day in their life, Snow Valley Ski Resort is offering a day camp for kids ages 6 to 14 to learn and have some fun in the snow. Prices vary depending on equipment rentals, and lift ticket options (such as being a season pass holder already).
Vertical Zone
Vertical Zone offers an awesome experience for kids 5 to 12 years old and any skill level, no previous jumping experience required. Kids will enjoy trampolining, pit and airbag time, obstacle courses, and cooperative games.
Be sure to pack them a bottle of water, lunch, and some nut-free snacks too. Camp runs Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Kids can be registered for single days or the whole week ($450) with additional before and after care available for an additional cost.
Barrie Colts Hockey Camp
If your kids already know the basics but want to learn more, the Barrie Colts Hockey Camp is the perfect way for them to up their game while having a whole lot of fun. Kids will train, meet Colts players, watch them practice, and more.
Hockey Camp is for kids 7 to 10 and 11 to 13. You can sign your kids up for either Monday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday, and lunch is included for $130 per day. This camp runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Hardwood Ski And Bike
March Break Madness is returning to Hardwood Ski And Bike this March Break. Kids 6 to 10 will enjoy a day of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, and more.
Each day is $69 and includes equipment, tickets, and afternoon snacks ($55 if you don't need ski rentals). There is also a lunch option.
Wye Marsh
Wye Marsh is located on 3,000 acres of Provincially Significant Wetlands and woodlands, which means there's lots to see and do. Kids will get to cross-country ski and snowshoe, see a working sugar shack, learn how to build a shelter, visit with reptiles, amphibians, and birds of prey, learn about the swans, and more.
Themes for this year's camp include:

- Where Birding Begins - Swan Monitoring Hike, Intro to Birding
- Wet n' Scaly - Wet n' Scaly show, Crafts, Animal Games

- Animal Tracks - Animal Tracking, Craft, Bird of Prey show
Camp is $325 for the week ($245 to $295 if you're a member), open to kids 5 to 12, and runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Scanlon Creek Nature Centre
Celebrate the last week of winter at March Break Camp with the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority. Kids 4 to 10 will learn how to kick-sled, track wildlife, use technology in nature and so much more.
Camp is $325 for the week and runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Dinoland
Dinoland in Tottenham runs all March Break long from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with before and after care available. The cost is $255 for the week for $55 per day.
Designed for children 4+, your kids will enjoy lots of fun activities, crafts, and playtime in a giant indoor playground. And we really do mean giant – the whole space is 12,000 sq ft with a 2,400 sq ft play structure and tons of other fun things to do.
Drop-in times are also available for families looking to play but not attend camp.
Kaleidoscoppe
Kaleidoscoppe is making March Break an Epic Adventure with Mission: Planet Explorer! Kids will blast off into a world of discovery while they explore the wonders of space, science, engineering and art!
This unique camp will include arts & crafts, games & challenges, science experiments, live performances and more. The cost for the week is $425 with options for extended care and meal plans.
Barrie Baycats
Batter up! The Barrie Baycats are bringing back their popular March Break Baseball Camp from March 10 to 14 at The Warehouse in South Barrie. This indoor camp is perfect for young athletes who want to refine their skills before the season starts or just have some fun over the break.
Campers will work on infield drills, pitching and hitting basics, and even compete in team wiffle ball championships! There will also be daily team activities like soccer baseball and tennis baseball, plus a pizza party on Friday and tons of prizes.
This camp runs from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM and costs $325 per camper.
Code Ninja
If your child loves technology, coding, and creativity, Code Ninjas has the perfect camps to keep them engaged and learning! With hands-on experiences in robotics, coding, and Minecraft modding, kids aged 8+ will have a blast while developing problem-solving and STEM skills.
LEGO: RoboDojo
Young engineers will explore the exciting world of robotics using LEGO Spike Prime kits. Campers will design and build their own robotic creations—from a charging rhino to a dancing troupe—while learning about motors, sensors, and coding. This camp is great for curious minds who love to build, experiment, and innovate.
Minecraft Modding Camp
For kids who dream of altering and enhancing their Minecraft worlds, this camp teaches them how to use MCreator to craft their own custom mods. From creating new ores, weapons, and biomes to unleashing nuclear TNT, campers will code, design, and customize their ultimate Minecraft adventure.
Both camps run Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 4 PM with single-day options available. The full week is $399 per camper.
Curio
Camp Curio offers hands-on science experiments and play-based discovery for kids ages 5 and up (4-year-olds with prior Curio experience may attend).
The camp runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Campers should bring a lunch, two snacks, and a water bottle. The cost is $325 for the full week, with single-day options available.
Curio is an inclusive facility — parents of children needing one-on-one support should contact the camp before registering.
Skate Mariposa
Skate Mariposa's March Break Camp is designed for CanSkaters and Figure Skaters Star 1-5 (Bronze). It is perfect for skaters ages 6 and up, running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This camp offers daily group lessons and multi-sport participation with NCCP qualified coaches.
Campers will get 2 hours of on-ice time, split throughout the day, as well as engaging dryland activities and swimming.
The cost for CanSkate's March Break Camp is $85 per day.
Upchuckle Education
In this exciting 5-day Cartoon Camp, young filmmakers ages 8 to 13 will learn the ins and outs of creating animated films! Campers will explore every stage of the animation process, from writing stories and designing locations to character development, storyboarding, and animation techniques.
Each day will be filled with hands-on learning and creativity, allowing kids to dive deep into the world of animation.
By the end of the week, they'll walk away with a collection of artwork and a newfound understanding of animation that they can continue to explore long after the camp ends. The camp fee is $389 for the week (with before and after care options) and includes all art materials and a fun Friday pizza party! Adjusted rates may be available for partial attendance.
