Handgun used in Wasaga Beach robbery
Police say victim was forced to withdraw cash from ATM
A verbal dispute got ugly in Wasaga Beach when Ontario Provincial Police say a gun was brandished during the argument.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, OPP responded to a report of a robbery on the boardwalk in front of Beach Area 2.
Police say during the argument between two groups of people, one of the suspects is alleged to have pulled out a handgun. The victim was forced to withdraw cash from a nearby ATM. Two cellphones and a wallet were also stolen.
OPP searched the area but could not locate the suspects.
They are described as:
- Black male approx. 6’4″ tall – very skinny with chin-length dreadlocks and Jamaican accent
- Black male, approx. 6’3″ tall – skinny, wearing a ski mask, black shirt
- Black male, approx. 6′ tall, white t-shirt, short hair, Jamaican accent
- Black male, ski mask, skinny, 5’6″.
- Black female, 5’5″, dark crop top, jean shorts, slim, long shoulder-length hair
The suspects were last seen leaving the area in a dark coloured four-door sedan.
