AA teams from across Ontario and overseas
Gonna be tough to find a vacant room at the inn in Barrie this weekend.
Eighty-eight teams have signed up for the Barrie Minor Hockey Association annual ‘AA’ tournament, including two teams from Finland.

The teams from Finland requested their boys be billeted with BMHA families, rather than stay in hotels, to get a better feel for life in Canada.
BMHA President Murray Shanks and General Manager Brian Torrie say it’ll be fun to watch how the Finnish teams approach the game. They will play against teams from Toronto, Waterloo, Northumberland, Aurora and London in the preliminary rounds. All of their games will be played at the Holly Recreation Centre Friday and Saturday (tournament action will take place at all arenas in Barrie).
Championship games will be played Sunday at East Bayfield and Allandale Arenas.
