Human remains found in Huntsville have been identified

Provincial police say the identity of human remains found in Huntsville has been confirmed.

On Nov. 21, a person located the remains on a property near Gryffin Lodge Road.

The remains are those of 58-year-old Mark Sweet of Perry Township.

Two men, aged 37 and 56, and a 53-year-old woman, all of Huntsville, have been charged with indignity to human remains and accessory after the fact.

The younger man has also been charged with failure to comply with an undertaking.

The Huntsville OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), and assisted by OPP Central Region Forensic Identification Services.The investigation is being conducted in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
