
Even if you're sleeping in your car while intoxicated, you could still get busted for impaired driving if you're found to be in 'care and control' of the vehicle.
Furthermore, it could lead to other charges if more questionable items are found in the vehicle, as one man experienced early Thursday morning.
Just after 2 a.m., Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police officers noticed a vehicle parked at the real of a business on King William St., and saw a man apparently asleep inside it.

The observation eventually led to an impaired driving investigaion and an arrest. During the investigtion, the officers also found a schedule one substancen and a firearm inside the vehicle.
The man, identified as a 39-year-old from Burks Falls was charged with:
· Operation while impaired - drugs
· Possession of schedule 1 substance - trafficking
· Transport prohibited device
· Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
· Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
He was held for a bail hearing that will take place Thursday in Bracebridge, while his car was impounded for seven days, and license suspended for 90 days.
