“I didn’t think you guys were arresting people anymore,” Barrie Police actively enforcing the law despite provincial shut down

Woman facing future court date in connection to stolen vehicle investigation

Barrie Police helped one woman clear up a misconception the hard way.

A woman was taken to Barrie Police headquarters this morning, according to a tweet from the Service, as part of an investigation into the theft of a vehicle.

According to Barrie Police, the first thing the woman said to officers was “I didn’t think you guys were arresting people anymore,”

Police say not only are they actively enforcing the law, but the woman also has a future court date to boot.
