Impaired driving and other charges laid in south Barrie crash
A pickup truck slammed into a car, a hydro pole, a fence, and a structure in a yard
The outcome of a collision on Hurst Drive and Golden Meadow Road in Barrie around 11:30 Saturday morning was a trail of destruction. Police were called to the south-end neighbourhood after the driver of a pickup truck lost control and plowed into another vehicle, a hydro pole, a fence and then a structure in the yard of a home.

Barrie police tell Barrie 360 the lone occupant of the truck, a 31-year-old Bradford man, faces several charges including impaired driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, refusing to provide a breath sample and possession of a prohibited weapon. He was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Two other people in separate vehicles were treated at the scene by first responders and did not require care at the hospital. One vehicle was hit by debris and the other was struck by the pickup.
