A one-year pilot program being launched by the Town of Innisfil is bringing a new transit hub to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 547.
Legion 547 will join the existing 11 transit hubs across Innisfil, Ont. as part of this pilot program which is part of a larger effort to make public transit more accessible to Innisfil residents.
“We’re so pleased to add the Innisfil Legion to our list of transit hubs,” says Innisfil Mayor Lynn Dollin. “As the only transit hub in Belle Ewart, we hope that this action will not only provide a much-needed service to our veterans but also improve connectivity within and across our town.”

Currently, Innisfil subsidizes $4 off the cost of a trip within town borders via Uber through a partnership with the ride-sharing service. However, transit hubs are different
Innisfil's transit hubs are designated locations that can be used as the start or end point of an Uber trip in order to access additional discounted fares. For example, with this program, customer will be able to book trips through Innisfil Transit to and from Legion 547 and only pay $4.10.
The program will be monitored for ridership and use, running until May 8, 2026.
Other active projects include:
Multiple Youth-Based Voucher: A pilot voucher program for families with two or more children to book multi-passenger trips to or from transit hubs when using Innisfil Transit.
Transit Master Plan: A plan to outline how public transit will evolve in Innisfil over the next 10 years.
Currently, the Town is asking for community feedback on four possible options of what Innisfil Transit could look like in the future through a survey that closes on June 15.
